December is gloomy so why not spotlight a song that fits that mood. To close out November, the Canadian trio Arcane Ghosts released a brand new single titled “Petrified” that puts a pop punk spin on post hardcore and alternative.
"Petrified" is about those who have all they could want, but still feel empty, and make misguided attempts to fill that void. It is a story of a husband who loves his wife, but finds that he is unhappy in life, and he cheats on his wife with another woman. She then finds out and divorces him, and losing the person he held dear destroys him. He then does all he can to win back the love of his life, but realizes she won't return. This is the last song the band wrote for their upcoming EP.

Originally conceived over a couple beers at a dive bar in the heart of university town Kitchener-Waterloo, Brampton-based Arcane Ghosts combine raw emotion and math skills to create their own brand of experimental Pop-punk, influenced by the likes of Dance Gavin Dance, Citizen, and Basement. They are currently hard at work on their next EP, due in early 2019.
