Last month the lineup was announced for this year's Day For Night and this week the lineup got a little bit sweeter with the addition of Nina Kraviz, Justice and a solo performance by Thom Yorke (Radiohead). The 3 day festival will take place again in Houston, TX on December 15th-17th and ever since beginning in 2015, this event keeps getting more attention and glaming up their ever so entertaining lineup.
The first announcement of lineups don't include just musicians but will also feature artists as well as an activist speaking event scheduled for Friday including LGBTQ activist Chelsea Manning and Nadya Tolokonnikova (Pussy Riot). The full festival lineup can be found below. Light sculptures by Matthew Schreiber, creator of large-scale light sculptures inspired by sacred geometry, physics and the occult, is something you're not going to want to miss at this event. He creates architectural spaces that often cheat our senses into believing the immaterial could be tangible, and molds light in thin air.
This years expansion of the festival is hopefully a door opening opportunity as the creators at Free Press Houston see this as the “beginning” of a longterm plan to explode Day for Night to become a multi-venue, five-day event. Tickets are available HERE and several packages are offered to help better fit attendees needs.
