Chicago Open Air has recently passed and the "Open Air" name is now being focused over to Houston, TX. The second annual Monster Energy Houston Open Air Festival will take place this year on October 14th and 15th at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands, TX. The lineup was announced last month but a few days ago a big announcement was made that Avenged Sevenfold will be joining this solid packed lineup in the Fall.
Avenged Sevenfold is set to close out the weekend on Sunday night in replace of Prophets of Rage who have been moved to play Saturday night now instead. Last year was the premiere for the festival in the Houston area and the weather became an issue that led to several cancellations of sets which one in coincidence was Avenged Sevenfold's. This year's full lineup includes:
Saturday Oct. 14th: Five Finger Death Punch, Prophets of Rage, Marilyn Manson, Halestorm, Gojira, In This Moment, Of Mice & Men, Starset, Beartooth, Avatar, Code Orange and Greeta Van Fleet
Sunday Oct. 15th: Avenged Sevenfold, Stone Sour, Mastadon, Suicidal Tendencies, Steel Panther, Zakk Sabbath, August Burns Red, Powertrip, Radkey, DED, Black Map and Palisades.
